Okay, thanks for this information. I don't like the idea of storing customer's credit details online, unless you have to. I'm not at all convinced it is secure.
Hi Sarah,
It does seem, at times, that fraudsters may be able to outwit technology. Still, thank goodness, data breaches are the exception and not the rule.
Still, I'm with you ... I would rather let another party be responsible for data security and not personally assume the risk.
Thanks for reading the blog!

I just wish it was easier to get a merchant service processor to allow recurring billing for an intangible product. Using PayPal for our website (http://ILIAA.org) is...okay, but I wish we had more options at least.
Hi Nick,
I'm sorry that you've experienced problems in securing a merchant account that allows recurring billing for intangible products or services.
I'm under the impression that there are more liberal-minded companies that will permit automated billing on intangible products. (Our underwriting group should approve such an enterprise, assuming the merchant has good credit.)
Please continue to look around the merchant account field as options exist.

Its good information about "The Authorize.net - Customer Information Manager", Regards.
Being able to store data is very important for both parties concerned because it will let the merchants bill their customers for recurring orders and make it easier for repeat consumers to checkout while purchasing products and hiring their services online.
Yes, the merchant and customer both receive benefits from this type of system. Of importance, the Authorize.net customer information manager is PCI compliant.
