Yeah, I agree with you. The trend of manual imprinter is going down day by day. And one day it will completely diminish.
Thanks for your comment! While the manual imprinter seems to hold a little less importance than 50 years ago, I still think that it is crucial to use -- especially for certain merchants.
The only way that I see the manual imprinter becoming extinct is if all credit cards become unembossed (where the numbers are not raised).
Thanks again for your contribution.

Thank you for the informative post. I really love to read articles that can increase a person's knowledge.
I suppose only time will tell. At the present moment, the manual imprinter is still a relatively popular device.

Great post and info on manual imprinter. Like the way you write Andy, much like writing a story.
Hi Kenneth,
I truly appreciate the compliment! I don't really want my blog to be a remedy for insomnia.
Good luck in your business!

Yes I agree. Every new merchant needs the simplicity of [using a manual imprinter]. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tyra and Sual,
The manual imprinter is easy to use and should faithfully perform its function for some time to come. I'm sure that a new device will come into play should all cards become unembossed.

Do we have to include the 3 digit security code on the imprinter sales slip?
Hi Peggy,
Thanks for your question. I don't believe that you HAVE to include the security code on the imprinter sales slip but it may be advisable to do so
-- especially if you're going to process the customers' payment information at a later point. (You should also get the customer's address or at least the zip code.)
To better win a chargeback, the manual imprinter has to include the following:
credit card number, customer's signature, transaction date, purchase amount, and authorization code.
